A recent cold front created hazardous driving conditions in Chicago. Ice-laden roads were to blame for car accidents across the Chicago area, a result of rain and a sudden drop in temperatures. There were dozens of accidents reported in the Chicago region in the evening of February 18 through the next morning. The National Weather Service reported less than an inch of snow in the region but that did not stop conditions from becoming dangerous. Drivers across Chicago were advised to drive with caution to avoid car accidents due to the threat of black ice on the roads. To read more about these hazardous driving conditions, follow the link.
