A 19-year-old woman from Joliet, IL died on April 15 after being struck by a vehicle along a busy roadway. The accident occurred on April 14 and the victim was flown to Loyola Hospital in Maywood for treatment of her critical injuries. A report in the Joliet Herald News did not reveal what caused the driver to hit the pedestrian or who may have been at fault.
