Northern Illinois University recently offered a motorcycle safety class to teach motorcyclists what they can do to remain safe on the roads. As warmer weather approaches, more and more people will be hitting the roads on their motorcycles. According to an article in the Northwest Herald, five people were killed in motorcycle accidents in 2007 in McHenry County, IL. In order to prevent serious personal injury, motorcyclists must understand the rules of the road and wear protective gear such as helmets and long sleeves.
