An elderly man had to be extricated from his vehicle after an Urbana car accident on May 13. According to The News-Gazette, the man did not stop at a red light and was struck by an SUV. The impact caused his vehicle to collide with another car before coming to a stop. The 84-year-old was cut from his car and taken to an Urbana hospital where he remains in fair condition.
