A man from the far Chicago suburb of Essex was killed in an automobile crash after the driver of another vehicle ran a stop sign and their cars collided. The car crash occurred when a Chrysler sedan broadsided the man’s vehicle. His wife, who was in the vehicle as well, was personally injured. The man was pronounced dead at the hospital. The driver of the sedan was cited for failure to reduce speed and disobeying a traffic signal. There was no indication that drugs or alcohol played a role in the automobile accident.
