A Joliet car accident on I-55 left was elderly man that was the chief executive of a uniform hat manufacturer that made hats for the Illinois State Police dead. The victim was driving on the side of the highway on a spare tire with his hazard lights on at the time of the fatal car accident. The driver of the car that struck the back of the victims vehicle was cited for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident and at this time no wrongful death charges have been filed.
