Chicago Squad Car Involved in Accident

Chicago’s Breaking News Center discussed a unique car accident last week involving a Chicago Police Department squad car.

Two Chicago police officers were riding in the squad car on the city’s west side when the crash occurred. They had received an emergency call and were racing to the scene when the car was struck on the side by another vehicle. The impact drove the squad car into the side of a nearby building. Both officers were taken to a local hospital with injuries. Fortunately, the injuries were not life-threatening.

It is unclear exactly what led to the impact, but the squad car’s sirens and lights were activated at the time of the crash.
