A 36-year-old Rockford man died when his car became submerged in the Rock River on May 4. According to a witness, as the driver approached an intersection, his car went off of the road before going into the river. The witness called for emergency help but the man did not survive the car accident. His car was pushed over 250 feet downstream from where his vehicle first entered the water. An article in the Rockford Register Star did not reveal what made the man lose control of his car, but did note that the accident was under investigation. Read more about this Rockford car accident.
