Man pronounced dead on scene after Chicago-area car accident

A man was pronounced dead after a fatal one-vehicle car accident in Park Ridge, Illinois. The driver had been involved in a hit-and-run collision with some property only minutes before the crash that claimed his life. Witnesses told investigators that the man was driving at high rates of speed when he lost control of his vehicle, ultimately crashing into a tree. The driver was pronounced dead at the scene.
