Man Struck Fixing Flat Tire on Kennedy Feeder Ramp

Police are searching for the driver of a car that struck and severely personally injured a man as he fixed a flat tire on a Kennedy Expressway feeder ramp, in Chicago, Illinois. The incident happened early in the morning on the Ontario Street feeder ramp on the Kennedy Expressway. The man was struck by a car in the far right shoulder as he knelt next to his car to fix a flat tire who said that the driver of the car which struck the man did not stop nor did he call 911. No saw the offending vehicle or the traffic accident. Two Illinois State Police troopers were first to respond to the scene, placing tourniquets on the man’s legs and providing life-saving medical attention to the man who was said to be bleeding profusely. The man was taken to the hospital with serious personal injuries. Police are investigating the automobile accident to find the perpetrator. At this time, no lawsuits have been filed.
