This weekend bond was set at $250,000 for a man charged with felony aggravated driving while under the influence charges after he seriously injured a suburban Chicago police officer Friday night.
According to the Chicago Sun-Times Montgomery, the police Sergeant was responding to a shots fired call in his area when and was struck by a car driven by the 18 year old who was attempting to fleethe party where the shots were fired.
Montgomery police disclosed that the Sergeant’s injuries were serious, having suffered a broken scapula, compressed discs in his back, a fractured skull requiring stitches, as well as many bruises and lacerations around his head, face, and body.
