Police in northern Kane County went on a high-speed car chase that involved three police agencies and the arrest of a man on multiple charges and ended in an automobile accident. The perpetrator accelerated after the police tried to pull him over and led the police on a five-mile chase through Kane County that reached speeds of up to 80 mph. The perpetrator lost control of the van several times, going off the road and nearly hitting a squad car and a passenger car head-on during the 10-minute chase. The man was eventually cornered and his automobile crashed into the passenger side of the police vehicle. There were no personal injuries in the automobile accident.
